Health is not a mere absence of disease. It is a dynamic expression of life – in terms of how joyful, loving and enthusiastic you are.

International Yoga Day
The practice of Yoga has always proved to be one of the best healing agents out there. Enthusiastically practiced all over the world, International Yoga day is celebrated every year on 21st of June which came into being in the year 2015 with the consistent effort made by the PM Narendra Modi.
Today, i.e 21st June 2022, the world celebrates peace, happiness, spirituality, and health by way of Yoga. The aim of which is self-realization to overcome all kinds of suffering leading to a state of liberation. Health and harmony should always remain the main objectives of yoga practice.
Yoga for Humanity
The theme for the 8th international Yoga Day, was selected after much deliberation and consultation as ‘Yoga for Humanity’, appropriately portraying how yoga served humanity and our various communities by alleviating suffering during the peak of the pandemic. This theme is hoped to bring people together through compassion, and kindness, foster a sense of unity and build resilience among people all over the world.
Yoga for Humanity as a theme is dedicated to inspiring and activating the yoga community for sustainability and global development. Yoga for Humanity must create experiences that bring together, yoga, mindfulness, and equanimity. We believe yoga isn’t just something you just do on the mat but instead is a way of life.
What it means to us:
Yoga for Humanity means healing our own minds, bodies and spirits, while giving back to community. It is a call to action to all yogis', teachers, gurus and students to use the healing benefits of yoga to empower, inspire and give back to others. Focusing on Yoga for Humanity, special programmes have been designed this year for specially-abled people, the Transgender population, women and children. Human values that are an integral part of Yoga education in schools are also in focus.
This year our villages/Gram Panchayats will also see huge participation as, the Common Service Centres (CSCs) are promoting the practice and training of Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) and it is expected millions of villagers will participate in the IDY 2022.
A new-found appreciation for Yoga
The COVID 19 pandemic has been an unprecedented human tragedy. Beyond its immediate impact on physical health, the pandemic has also aggravated psychological suffering and mental health problems including depression and anxiety.
Yoga’s role during the Pandemic:
People around the world embraced yoga to stay healthy and rejuvenated and to fight social isolation and depression during the pandemic. Yoga is also playing a significant role in the care and rehabilitation of COVID-19 patients.
The essence of yoga is balance not just balance within the body or that between the mind and the body, but also balance in the human relationship with the world. It emphasized the values of mindfulness, moderation, discipline, and perseverance. When applied to communities and societies, Yoga offers a path to sustainable living.
Here are some TRUEREVO Yogis killing it during the Pandemic:
